Eldon D. Tuttle, 73, of La Porte, Ind. passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, June 3, 2020 after a battle with cancer.
Eldon was born April 25, 1947 in South Bend, Ind. to Howard and Zella (Eagle) Tuttle.
On Jan. 31, 1975 Eldon married Louise Picatto.
Eldon retired in 2008 from New York Blower as a machinist after 38 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Eldon is survived by his wife; a daughter, Ann (Jason) Higley of Walkerton, Ind.; a son, Jason (Hollie) Tuttle of La Porte; five grandchildren, Jake and Lizzie Tuttle, Keeley, Taylor, and Logan Higley; a sister, Lee Ann Frost of La Porte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 5 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Ave., La Porte, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Deacon Chris Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, Ind.
Attendees are asked to observe social distancing while attending services.
