Martha “Punk” Eloise Hindsley, 88, of La Porte, Ind. passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at her home.
Martha was born March 23, 1932 in Delfore, Ark. to Cromwell and Nanette (Medley) West.
On April 15, 1954 in San Diego, Cal. she married James Hindsley.
Surviving Martha are her sisters, June (Gene) Collings of Elyria, Ohio, Bobbie Cole of Chesterton, and Iris Tillinghast of La Porte; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; her parents; her identical twin Mary; her other sisters, Myrtle, Gladys, Dorothy, Sarah “Soupie”, Yvetta “Billie;” and brother, Walter “Bud.”
Martha worked in data entry for over 30 years at Whirlpool. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and knitting. Martha owned and enjoyed a cabin in Washington Island, Wisc.
A private family graveside service will be held at Patton Cemetery with great-nephew, Brad Hindsley, officiating.
