Linda Louise Lorencz, 75, of La Porte, Ind. and formerly of San Pierre, Ind., passed away peacefully at 5:18 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2020 at La Porte Hospital.
Her journey began October 24, 1944, in La Porte County, Ind. with Louis L. and Freda M. (Hapner) Solmos.
Linda was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, San Pierre. She was always up for an adventure. She loved traveling, camping, fishing, planting and watching her garden grow. She especially loved spending time with family and friends and becoming a grandmother and a great grandmother.
Linda met Rockford Lorencz and fell in love. They married April 3, 1971, in Knox, Ind They blended a family together with their four children. Together they welcomed their son, Stephen Lorencz.
Surviving are her husband; four children, James (Annette) Fritzen, Darlene (Jerry) Fritzen Jarrett, Cheryl (Al) Lorencz Bolan and Stephen Lorencz; two siblings, Carol Padgett and Dennis (Velvet) Solmos; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were her parents; one son, Robert Lorencz; and one brother, Charles “Chuckie” Solmos.
Cremation will take place. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
