Jerrold Dean Worthington, 87, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 13, 2020.
Jerrold was born May 2, 1932 in La Porte, Ind. to John and Vertie (Anderson) Worthington.
On June 6, 1959, in La Porte, he married Mary Ann Lindwall, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Christine (Robert) Duttlinger of La Porte, Judy Worthington of New Carlisle, John (Sarah) Worthington of North Liberty, Ind. and Jerry (Pamela) Worthington of Michigan City, Ind.; six grandchildren, John (Melissa) Duttlinger, William (Amber) Duttlinger, Angela Duttlinger, Janet Clemans, Mary Clemans, and Bethany Worthington; 10 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Ryleigh, Chase, Katelyn, Emily, Raeghan, Avery, Kinleyann, and Theo; two brothers, Roland and Dennis; sister, Jill; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerrold was a lifelong farmer. In earlier years, he was a school bus driver. Jerrold was a veteran of the US Army. He was a 4-H member and leader. Jerrold enjoyed bowling, woodworking, and especially spending time with his family.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
