Michaeline “Mikki” Ora Bowen, 62, of Union Mills, Ind. passed away unexpectedly at 8:37 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at La Porte Hospital.
She was born March 29, 1957, in Gary, Ind. to Algird and Kathleen (Pritchard) Galinis.
Michaeline was a loving home maker to her family. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Michaeline was known for her free spirit.
On Oct. 30, 1976 in Kilauea, Hawaii, she married her husband, Stephen George Bowen, who survives.
Also surviving are her three children, David (Kate) Bowen of Claremore, Okla. and James (Kylee) Bowen and Stephanie Bowen, both of Union Mills; mother, Kathleen Galinis of Merrillville, Ind.; one sister, Pamela Galinis of Merrillville, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Hailey, Jacob, Autumn, Tony, Jesse, Emilee, Lukeas and Anthony; and one nephew, Richard Galinis.
Preceding her in death was her father, Algird A. Galinis.
Cremation will take place. A private celebration of her life will be held.
