Mrs. Courtney Elizabeth (Dale) Reading, 26, of La Porte, Ind. passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind..
Courtney was born in La Porte on Nov.17, 1993 to Dewey Dale and Shawnn Mofield. She lived in La Porte for 26 years.
On Oct. 9, 2016, she married Kevin Douglas Reading, who survives. Also surviving are her son, Kevin Reading, Jr. of La Porte; 2 daughters, Marcella and Kesley Kinsey, both of La Porte; parents, Dewey Dale of La Porte and Shawnn (Danny) Mofield of Knox; two sisters, Harlee (Jeremy) Mofield of Portage and Ashley Wilson of Knox; grandparents, Eliza (Jake) Goad of Union Mills; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Courtney was preceded in death by her brother, William Darnell, Jr.; grandparents, Barbara Pfeiffer, Argyll McKeehan, Sr., and Dewey G. Dale, Sr.; and great-grandmother, “Granny” Bessie Bell Taylor.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29 at the American Legion Post #83, 228 E. Lincolnway, La Porte.
