Karen Jean Senne, 75, wife of Carl Senne, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, in Simpsonville, SC.
Karen was born in Knox, IN, on May 24, 1944, to the late Joseph and Helen Rodgers.
In 1963, Karen moved to La Porte, IN, where she worked at Plimpton Press and Thunderbird Restaurant. On Feb. 13, 1965, she married Carl Senne of La Porte. Karen dedicated her life to raising a family and being a homemaker. She loved ceramics and gardening and kept busy with these hobbies until her grandchildren came along. Karen spent a lifetime of loving and supporting her family. In 2016, Karen and Carl moved to South Carolina to enjoy warmer winters and to be near most of the family.
In addition to her husband, Carl, she is survived by her three children: Gina Star (Joseph), Darrin Senne (Jennifer), and Tasha Kahaleh (George); nine grandchildren: Ariel, Bridget and Leslie Star, Isaiah Ewert, Jacob, Haley and Kayla Senne, Antoine and Carl Kahaleh; and one sister: JoAnn Johnson. She was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Dedloff.
A visitation with family will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at La Porte Missionary Church, 104 E. 18th St., La Porte, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m. at the church.
