Terrence “Terry” Lee Maddox, 74, of Michigan City, IN, passed away peacefully at 4:41 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, in his home.
He was born Oct. 4, 1945, in Michigan City to Kenneth and Freda (Florer) Maddox.
Terry honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for Teamsters Union Local 142. Terry worked at A.D. Connor, hauling gasoline, and for B.P. Gases, East Chicago, doing numerous jobs inside their plant. He enjoyed collecting baseball caps and taking vacation trips with his wife, especially their trip to Mount Rushmore.
On Dec. 5, 1998, in Pigeon Forge, TN, he married Audrey (Mashburn) Maddox, who survives.
Also surviving are his three children, James (Jennifer Coen) Maddox of Torrance, CA, Katie Maddox Young of Michigan City and Kenny Maddox of Michigan; two stepchildren, Angela Gramham and David Joyner, both of Michigan City; two brothers, Mel (Diane) Maddox of Florida and Jimmy Maddox of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Rylie, Carter, Donovan, Gabe, Dallas, and Niklous; six great-grandchildren, Elene, Guinevere, Brooklyn, Sophie, Braxton, and Cody; special nephew, Nicholas Sherrbaum; brother-in-law, Doyle (Pam) Mashburn; sister-in-law, Diane (Carl) Baggett; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Kenneth Maddox.
Cremation will take place. A memorial gathering celebrating his life will be held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Michigan City Christian Church, 11232 W. Earl Rd. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, La Porte, IN, is handling arrangements.
