Diane Wright, 80, of LaPorte, IN, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte.
She was born Sept. 1, 1938, in Woodstock, IL, the daughter of George Filip and Marjorie (Martin) Filip.
Diane enjoyed participating in bowling and pool leagues along with playing online poker and taking trips to the casino. More than anything, she loved her dog Teddy.
She is survived by her three sons, Roy (Barbara) O’Dell of LaPorte, Kenny O’Dell of LaPorte and Gary (Terry) O’Dell of West Hills, CA; daughter, Cindy (Teresa) O’Dell of Chandler, AZ; two sisters, Marlina (Frank) Kimble of Woodstock, IL, and Lucille Filip of LaPorte; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Diane was preceded in death by both her parents; her daughter, Tracy Wright, and brother, Robert Filip.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, on Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. A life celebration will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Joe Mollet from Dunes Hospice officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
