Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte, is handling the arrangements for Eldina “Dena” Marie Kessler, 86, of LaPorte, Indiana, who passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018.
Dena was born March 26, 1932, in Basile, Louisiana, to the late Charles and Aline (Mercantel) Doga.
On January 5, 1953, Dena married Francis “Frank” Kessler, who survives.
Dena was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; three daughters, Sharon (Darryl) Johnson, Cathy (Donald) Wright and Debbie (Greg) Cotter, all of LaPorte, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Rachel (Jay) Pignotti, Allison Johnson, Rob (Christi) Trusty, Calvin Trusty, Brittney (John) Satoski, Brodie Cotter, and Shelby Cotter; and six great-grandchildren, Vinny, Leah, Sophia, Payson, Owen, and Nora. She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday, September 10, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, at the funeral home, where family and friends may visit from 10:30-11 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in Door Village Cemetery. Pastor Bob Vale will officiate.
