William C. Lott, 77, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017.
Bill was born October 13, 1939, in Springfield, Illinois, to William Henry and Pauline B. (Freeman) Lott.
Bill retired from the LaPorte City Fire Department as a Captain after 22 years of service. He then worked for the LaPorte Community School Corporation for 17 years. Bill served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in LaPorte, VFW Post 1130, PRCU, and the Polish Falcons in LaPorte.
On July 25, 1967, Bill married Sandie S. Worthington, who survives.
Also surviving with his wife are his children, Michele (Verne) Maas of White Pigeon, Michigan, William P. (Josette) Lott of LaPorte, and Shane (Paula) Lott of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; five grandchildren, Olivia, Ryan, Will and Sophie Lott and Alaina Mass; and a brother, Norman (Marta) Lott of LaPorte.
A brother, Howard Lott, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, at the funeral home, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral.
