Devona Jean Thalmann, 79, of Union Mills, IN, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017.
She was born Sept. 13, 1937, in LaPorte to Homer and Jean (Rowley) Doll.
Devona was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Union Mills and the Women’s Circle of the church. She and her husband Ron owned and operated Country Gardens Antiques for over 30 years. She had a passion for flowers and was known for her dried flowers.
On June 20, 1959, she married Ronald H. Thalmann, for whom she leaves many loving memories.
She is also survived by daughters, Susan J. (Eugene) Bukowski of Noblesville, IN, and Mary B. (Allen) Borzabodi of Carmel, IN; and granddaughters, Elizabeth J. Bukowski and Caroline Bukowski.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Thalmann; and brother, Norman Doll.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at the funeral home with Pastor Jessica Young Brust officiating. Burial will follow in Hanna Cemetery, Hanna, IN.
